The Multifamily Housing Forum was recently hosted by North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA), giving participants the opportunity to learn about key affordable housing topics from industry professionals.
Experts from NDHFA, High Plains Fair Housing Center, and guest trainer Gary Kirkman of US Housing Consultants presented information on cost allocation requirements, common eligibility errors, fair housing best practices, reasonable accommodations, and more.
The Forum concluded with a supportive services collaborative meeting that allowed professionals from different organizations to share ideas and concerns related to homelessness in North Dakota.
“Strategic and cohesive partnerships are essential as we search for innovative ideas in the effort to end homelessness in ND,” said Dave Flohr, NDHFA executive director. “We believe everyone deserves a safe, warm place to call home.”
Mark your calendars for two additional training opportunities later this year. Amanda Lee Gross from US Housing Consultants will present on Conquering HUD Compliance August 9-10 and Dan Gould from the Inspection Group will present on National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate in October.
More details along with registration information will be released soon. For the most up-to-date event information visit www.ndhfa.org/index.php/publications/events/.
