Multifamily Housing Education and Networking Opportunities

BISMARCK, ND – North Dakota Housing Finance Agency will host a Multifamily Housing Forum on April 13, 2023, at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel in Bismarck, ND. The event will be preceded by a Fair Housing Workshop presented by High Plains Fair Housing Center.

The Fair Housing Workshop, scheduled for April 12th, will be led by Michelle Rydz and Kelly Gorz of High Plains Fair Housing Center. They will discuss fair housing best practices, reasonable accommodations, use of criminal records by housing providers and more.

The Forum agenda includes presentations on cost allocation requirements, conquering common eligibility errors, Uniform Relocation Act processes and goals, and understanding the new average income test. Forum attendees are encouraged to join the Supportive Services Collaborative meeting concluding the Forum.

Register by March 31 to receive the lowest rate, $60. After March 31, the registration fee will increase $90. There is no fee to attend the Fair Housing Workshop or Supportive Services Collaborative Meeting. Forum registration closes on April 7.

High Plains Fair Housing has submitted a continuing education application to the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners for the Fair Housing Workshop. Credit will be offered upon the approval of the program by the licensing organization. Housing Development Finance Professionals and Housing Credit Certified Professionals may submit proof of attendance toward recertifications. More details are provided online.
