North Dakota Roots
Through the North Dakota Roots (Roots) program, NDHFA provides affordable mortgage loans to moderate-income buyers who may have previously owned a home.
Am I Eligible?
1) You must meet income
limits, which vary based on county.

|Limits effective May,1 2016, subject to change.|
2) The maximum Roots loan amount must comply with the current Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac conforming loan amount or the limits of the applicable loan insurer/guarantor.
3) You are expected to meet normal credit underwriting standards and must occupy the property as your principal residence. You are also required to make a minimum of a $500 out-of-pocket cash investment.
How Do I Apply?
You can apply for a Roots Program loan at one of NDHFA’s Participating Lenders. These lenders originate Roots loans and sell them to the agency.
