DCA Program

Through the DCA program, NDHFA provides low-income buyers with affordable mortgage loans that include down payment and closing cost assistance.

Am I Eligible?

DCA's down payment closing cost assistance is only available to borrowers receiving their first mortgage from NDHFA; a FirstHome, HomeAccess, Major Home Improvement or Targeted Area loan.

DCA cannot be used in conjunction with other down payment assistance programs.

1) You must meet income limits, which vary based on county and family size.

2) The home you purchase cannot be located within a 100-year flood plain.

3) Start can only be used on one to two-unit properties (one unit must be occupied by borrower).

4) You must complete a homebuyer education course and receive a certificate of completion that is dated before loan closing.

How Do I Apply?

You can apply for a DCA purchase assistance at one of NDHFA’s Participating Lenders. These lenders originate NDHFA loans and sell them to the agency.
