Housing Market Survey Grants
Whether a community is pursuing economic development or trying to maintain its population by keeping aging housing stock viable and offering alternative housing solutions for an aging population, a housing strategy is essential.
The Housing Market Survey Grant program offers a cost-sharing incentive to rural communities to develop a local housing strategy. The program helps pay for an analysis of a community's current and future housing needs. The grants are equal to 50 percent of the cost of a survey not to exceed $5,000 and are available for communities of less than 20,000 population.
