| There are three bills have been proposed dealing with the Rebuilders Loan Program for disaster areas resulting from flooding in 2011. SB 2132 proposes to allow tenants of FEMA temporary housing units to purchase their THU using a Rebuilders Loan. HB 1185 proposes to allow the rebuilding of non owner-occupied housing units through the program. HB 1297 proposes a partial forgiveness of loans made through the program. | SB 2132 was passed by the Senate on Jan. 18 on 47-0 vote and by the House 87-5. The conference committee recommended that the Senate accede to the House amendments. Both chambers adopted the conference committee report and the bill was signed by the Governor. The House passed HB 1185 by a 89-3 vote on Jan. 30. It passed the Senate 47-0. The House concurred in the Senate amendments on a vote of 92-1. The bill was signed into law by the Governors. SB 2110 was passed by the Senate on a 46-0 vote on Jan. 15. It passed the House 79-12 on March 7 and was signed by the Governor.
