The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) recently released an Accomplishments piece called “Making a Difference” that centers on telling the story of how three Agency programs are making a difference for real North Dakota families. We want to keep this discussion going! As one of NDHFA’s valued partners in our mission to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to every North Dakotan, you understand the challenges that our state is facing and the opportunities that can be realized. Developing housing isn’t easy, and telling the story of housing can be complicated and confusing. To make the story real, it comes down to one thing – people. It might be a senior whose use of the Rehab Accessibility Program allowed him to remain in his home, a young couple who bought their first place through the FirstHome™ program, or a single mother who was able to find an affordable apartment thanks to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. We want to share great stories because housing can have a profound effect on a life. Our hope is to collect a number of narratives that show the power of housing at work in North Dakota. If you know of a compelling story of someone who was helped by an NDHFA program, contact Max Wetz, NDHFA director of public affairs, at (701) 328-8098 or email to mwetz@ndhfa.org. |
